ACCOUNTANTS INFORM PREMIER ABOUT OBSTACLES IN WORK DUE TO PANDEMIC

09 september, 2020

The obstacles faced by the accounting community due to the pandemic were the subject of a remote discussion between Prime Minister Ion Chicu and representatives of the Group of Accountants of the RM.

As the government informed, they discussed, in particular, issues of tax control, shortcomings in electronic services, the possibility of changing the Labor Code in order to identify specific requirements of different categories of workers.

The accountants spoke in favor of improving the efficiency and transparency of tax control, and made proposals on fiscal measures.

The prime minister welcomed the cooperation and constructive ideas of the accountants, offering to maintain an ongoing dialogue between the authorities and representatives of the accounting community.

“It looks like the pandemic won't end soon. In such conditions, one should act consciously and responsibly in decision-making, prudently use the state's money,” Chicu said.
