​MARKET PRICE OF MOLDOVA-AGROINDBANK SHARE GROWS BY 100 LEI

The market price of the share of Moldova-Agroindbank (MAIB), the largest commercial bank of the Republic of Moldova constituted 3100 lei on Thursday following the results of trades on the Stock Exchange. This is by 100 lei more than the previous purchase and sale transaction, registered on September 7 with 21 shares of the bank.

The record price of Moldova-Agroindbank shares was set on March 5 this year, when 448 securities were sold at 3,200 lei per share with a par value of 200 lei.

MAIB is one of the Moldovan banks that regularly pays dividends to shareholders. In recent years, the amount of dividends has fluctuated on average from 150 to 200 lei per share. Based on the results of 2019, due to the pandemic, the general meeting of shareholders postponed the issue on the payment of dividends.

This year Moldova-Agroindbank demonstrates the highest efficiency in terms of return on assets (ROA) and capital (ROE). If in July the system's return on assets was at the level of 1.4%, then for MAIB its value consisted in 2%. The situation is similar with the return on capital: within the system, this indicator is 8%, and its value for Moldova Agroindbank is 12%.
