SOCIAL FUND BUDGET REVENUES FOR NINE MONTHS EXCEEDED EXPENDITURES BY 361.6 MILLION LEI

By the beginning of October, social insurance budget revenues exceeded 18,003 billion lei ($ 1,059 billion), which is 1,242 billion lei more than the same period in 2019.

As Infotag reports with reference to the operative data of the National Social Insurance House (NSIH), more than half of the fees – 10,167 billion lei - made up compulsory social insurance contributions. They were collected by 194,3 million lei (1.9%) more than a year earlier.

At the same time, transfers from the state budget reached 7,672 billion lei, of which almost 5,107 billion were for payments of social benefits and other payments financed from the state treasury, and 2,569 billion lei ($ 116,6 million) - to cover the deficit of the social fund ...

The expenditures of the social insurance budget increased by 1,389 million lei, or 8.5%, reaching 17,641 billion lei ($ 1,037 million).
