PLATFORMA DA PROPOSES OVER 30 AMENDMENTS TO DRAFT 2021 FISCAL POLICY

The political party called Platforma “Demnitate si Adevar” [DA, “Dignity and Justice”] has subjected the Government-prepared draft of the 2021 Fiscal Policy to a fairly strong criticism and has proposed more than 30 amendments to the document.

Parliamentary DA faction chairman Alexandru Slusari stated at a press briefing on Tuesday: “Conceptually, the draft Fiscal Policy in its present-day shape is aimed against businesses, against agriculture, the Moldovan diaspora abroad, local governance organs, against people with limited possibilities and bank depositors”.

“This is actually a policy FOR price growth, for corruption schemes, violations, for risks to public health etc. This Fiscal Policy is harmful and ruinous for the country”, believes Alexandru Slusari, a Deputy Speaker of the Moldovan Parliament.

Slusari said that the DA-drafted amendments are called to change the concept of the Fiscal Policy proposed by the Government.

In his words, the Platforma DA faction will be insisting on annulling the December 3 first reading of the draft Fiscal Policy. But if the feeble parliamentary majority nevertheless votes for passing the document in a final reading, the Platforma DA will have to seek justice with the Constitutional Court.
