PAS PROPOSES NOT TO RAISE VAT RATES FOR FARMERS
The Party of Action and Solidarity suggests preserving VAT rates for agricultural producers at the present-time level.
Speaking at a press briefing on Tuesday, PAS MP Vladimir Bolea proposed to annul the Government's intention to raise the VAT rate on farm products from the current 8% up to 12%. Simultaneously, the PAS is insisting that the VAT on fertilizers should be left at the present-day rate of 12%, though the Government is going to make it 20%.
Vladimir Bolea stated that the Government's initiative in its present-day shape will mean only a growth of prices on agricultural products, and that a new higher VAT on fertilizers will not bring a desired result.
Bolea highlighted yet another legislative proposal by the PAS - to permit to idling agricultural enterprises the suspension of their tax commitments for compulsory health insurance and for social insurance.
