By rooting out corruption, the new leadership of Moldova will be mobilizing investments, and the republic will be modernizing and developing economically, Moldovan Parliament Chairman Igor Grosu stated in the course of his meeting with Michael Siebert, EU Managing Director for Russia, Eastern partnership, Central Asia, Regional cooperation and OSCE, and with Ambassador Janis Mazeiks, Head of the European Union Delegation to the Republic of Moldova.

The new Parliament's zero priority is struggle against corruption and the justice reform. We have undertaken to restore citizens' trust in the country's judicial system and in state institutions", explained the Parliament Speaker.

Speaking about the Transnistrian problem, Igor Grosu assured that the Moldovan authorities "are open to starting a strategic dialog between the Sides, and we are focusing on the interests of the residents of both Dniester River banks".
