During the dialogue, the head of the European Commission "reiterated full support for Moldova." In this regard, she noted that the meeting of the Moldova-EU Association Council, which will take place on Thursday, October 28, "will help to further strengthen our cooperation."

A day earlier, the head of the European Commission also held a telephone conversation with the President of Moldova, Maia Sandu, during which the problem with natural gas supplies to Moldova was also discussed. Von der Leyen assured the President that the EU is considering additional measures to support Moldova in the current situation.
