At the next Spring-Summer Session starting on February 1, the Moldovan Parliament will continue working to make Moldova move forward, Speaker Igor Grosu stated, receiving on Tuesday the Marshal of the Senate of Poland, Tomasz Grodzky, who is paying an official visit to Chisinau at the head of a delegation of Polish Senators.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the security situation in region, the energy crisis, the fight against propaganda, joint projects and bilateral economic cooperation.

“Poland remains Moldova’s reliable partner, with which we intend to develop cooperation in the future, too. We would like to increase supplies of fruit, vegetables, wine to the Polish market,” Grosu said, noting the growth of mutual trade between the two countries.

He expressed his gratitude to Warsaw for supporting Moldova's European choice, as well as for Poland's participation in the Moldova Support Platform conferences in Berlin, Bucharest and Paris.

According to the Speaker, although Moldova is going through difficult crises, its authorities “have shown perseverance, they adhere to the reform program and follow the commitments for which they have received the trust and votes of citizens.”

The parties also discussed the consequences of the war in Ukraine, noting that both Moldova and Poland suffered from Russian missile strikes.
