MAIB SIGNS $30.8M LOAN AGREEMENT WITH IFC TO UNDERPIN MOLDOVAN SMEs
On Thursday, Moldova's largest financial institution - the maib bank signed a $30.8 million loan agreement with the International Finance Corporation (IFC), the largest investment subdivision of the World Bank Group, for funding small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Moldova as well as businesses run by women. The document was signed by maib Board Chairman Giorgi Shagidze and the IFC Regional Director for Europe Ms. Rana Karadshex.

Moldova’s largest financial institution – the maib bank – transferred in June to the Fund for Support of Refugees from Ukraine its fourth tranche in the amount of 503,570 lei. Earlier, the bank announced its intention to transfer 10 million lei to support the refugees this year.

The Ministry of Finance placed at Tuesday's auction 906.25 million lei worth of government securities (GS), offering investors 1.58 billion lei in securities. The National Bank (NBM) told INFOTAG correspondent that the demand for the state securities from investors amounted to 1.36 billion lei.

MAIB STARTS PUBLIC OFFER OF MUNICIPAL BONDS WORTH 65 MILLION LEI
The country’s largest financial institution, the maib, has announced the launch of a public offering of 65 million lei ($3.5 million) municipal bonds issued by the Chisinau Primaria [city government]. The nominal value of one bond is 1,000 lei, and the circulation period is seven years.
