PRESIDENT VORONIN CONGRATULATES PREMIER PUTIN

Chisinau. The traditional relations of friendship and mutually beneficial cooperation between the Republic of Moldova and the Russian Federation will be strengthening and developing for the good of the two nations, believes Moldovan President Vladimir Voronin.
He sent Vladimir Putin a telegram of congratulation on his appointment as head of the government of Russia. In it, Voronin highlighted Putin’s “invaluable contribution to the deepening of the Moldo-Russian relations and your personal participation in resolving complicated questions of bilateral cooperation”.
“Your appointment as the head of government is a proof of the supreme appreciation given by the entire Russian people to the results of the course waged by you for 8 years by now on the path of democratic reforms and all-round consolidation of Russia’s statehood”, Voronin wrote in the telegram.
He expressed confidence that the high features of Vladimir Putin as a politician and a statesman will serve the cause of Russia’s prosperity, the growth of its citizens’ welfare, and consolidation of the country’s authority on the international arena.
