14.05.2008
Tiraspol. An M-12 “Kassatik” light aircraft crashed near the Malaesti Village in the Grigoriopol raion of Transnistria, killing its pilot, the local law-enforcement reported.
The air vessel was used for chemical works by a local agricultural company. The accident reason is being withheld, so far. The Transnistrian authorities are going to invite foreign experts to carry out a forensic examination of the plane remnants.
Last month, a similar tragedy could well happen in the mainland Moldova, too. Then, a similar light agricultural plane collided with a bird in the Anenii Noi raion. Its pilot somehow managed to make a very harsh landing, and was delivered to hospital in a critical state.
