ROMANIAN MINISTRY OF EDUCATION OFFERS 1351 SCHOLARSHIPS TO MOLDOVAN CITIZENS

Chisinau. The Romanian Ministry of Education Research and Youth offers 1351 scholarships to Moldovan citizens for studies in pre-university and university educational institutions.
According to a statement of the Organization of Besarabian Students from Bucharest, 750 scholarships are offered to leavers of Moldovan gymnasiums of the 2007-2008 academic year, including scholarships for students from Eastern raions of the republic.
Documents must be submitted to the Romanian Embassy in Chisinau.
Leavers of lyceums will receive 601 scholarships, including 50 scholarships for pupils from the Alexabdru cel Bun lyceum (Bender), Lucian Blaga lyceum (Tiraspol), Stefan cel Mare si Sfint lyceums (Grigoriopol), Mihai Eminescu lyceum (Dubasari), Evrica Lyceum (Rybnitsa), gymnasium for orphans (Bender), gymnasiums from the villages of Roga and Corjova.
The enlistment of lyceum leavers will take place in the Romanian Consulate in Chisinau.
In 2007 the Romanian Ministry of Education granted 2275 scholarships for Moldovans: 1050 – for studies in state universities, 1000 – for pre-university educational institutions, 225 - for post-university studies.
