MOLDOVA TO PARTICIPATE IN SELECTION ROUND OF EUROPEAN FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP

Chisinau. The Moldovan national football team will play in the group, including the national teams of the Netherlands, Switzerland, Finland, Hungary and San-Marino, of the selection round of the European Football Championship in accordance with the casting of lots on Sunday in Warsaw.
The European Football Championship will be conducted in summer 2012 in Poland and Ukraine. The games of the selection round will begin in autumn 2010. Known Romanian coach Gabi Balint will prepare the Moldovan team for the Championship. He accepted the invitation by the Moldovan Football Federation at the beginning of the year. The size of his salary was not unveiled.
Before the casting of lots Gabi Balint declared that he would like that Moldova would have strong competitors. He designated Spain and Romania among them, but, as a result of the casting of lots, two above teams were included in other groups. The Romanian coach, who is the first foreign specialist, who heads a Moldovan sport team, declared that he put himself the maximal tasks; as the minimum program, the Moldovan team must leave the last place, which it took unchangeably in all the selection rounds of the European and World Championships. During the last championship Moldovan expert Igor Dobrovolschi was the coach of the National football team. The team manifested a good performance, but stayed on the last place.
