MOLDOVA SUPPLIES LABOR FORCE TO OLYMPIC CONSTRUCTION

MOLDOVA SUPPLIES LABOR FORCE TO OLYMPIC CONSTRUCTION

11.03.2010

Moldova together with Ukraine, Armenia, Uzbekistan, and Tajikistan have been designated as one of the most mass supplier of labor force for the Olympic construction.

According to the ‘Narodnaya gazeta” of Sochi, Kuban Governor Aleksandr Tkachev said at a sitting, dedicated to the region’s security and migration, that it is planned to employ an 50 thousand people, a considerable part of which are labor migrants, who are not always legalized. For this reason, 65 citizens of Uzbekistan and Tajikistan were deported in 2010.

The Government put the task to terminate the illegal migration, which, in its opinion, was turned into a profit source for the criminal business and into a corruption trough for unscrupulous officials.

At the same time, he underscored the need of taking care of interests of those, who came to the Olympic construction on the legal basis.

While greeting the participation of the CIS citizens in the construction of objects for the Winter Olympic Games in 2014, the local authorities ordered to put a barrier to gastarbeirs from China, Vietnam, Afghani, who, in their opinion, are occupied only with retail trade.
