HOUSE BUILDING FOR FLOOD VICTIMS STARTS IN MOLDOVAN VILLAGES

Prime Minister Vladimir Filat has laid first stone in building houses for residents of the village of Cotul Morii (Hincesti raion), that left without a roof over their heads.
At the same time, foundation laying works started in the village of Nemteni too, where have to be built over 100 houses.
According to Minister of Construction and Regional Development (MCRD) Marcel Raducan, building works will be executed by Austrian, German and 2 Moldovan companies, chosen on a competitive basis.
He said over 500 houses will be built in the Cotul Morii, all expenses will be covered by the Government, and construction materials will be provided by Romania. First trucks with construction materials are expected to come from Romania on Tuesday. Soon will be started house building in the village of Obileni too.
Premier said that citizens whose farmlands were inundated will receive compensation from the state. Village victims will be provided with gas, potable water, there will be constructed treatment facilities.
Local residents are actively involved in construction works, their salaries will be 5 thousand lei and more.
Prime Minister Vladimir Filat said housing for flood victims will be built in 3 months, so that people could move in new houses before the winter.
