SDPM CONGRATULATES MOLDOVAN PEOPLE ON VICTORY OVER USURPER ALLIANCE

The Social Democratic Party has congratulated the Moldovan people “on a victory over the anti-popular ruling alliance that has usurped state power in the country and has been long jeering at citizens”, the SDPM leadership wrote in a statement issued on the occasion of September 5 referendum preliminary results.
The Social Democrats reminded that in the run-up to the referendum they were calling upon compatriots to “boycott this political farce imposed on the society by the ruling alliance leaders for the only sake of their remaining in power”.
In the party leaders’ opinion, citizens responded positively to their appeal, and “gave a sharply negative estimate of the entire activity of the Alliance for European Integration over the whole year of their staying in power”.
The SDPM statement further said that “the Moldovan people have thus spoke out for immediate dissolution of the Parliament and announcing of the date of early parliamentary elections, and new parliament will be supposed to find a way out of the lingering political crisis in the country. Citizens have severely condemned the authorities’ outrage upon the Constitution and the Moldovan legislation”.
The statement authors wrote that the Social Democratic Party “is immediately embarking on a struggle for an unconditional dissolution of the current Parliament and for announcement of the date of early parliamentary elections”.
