Parliament has approved the transition to new identity documents starting from 2025. As reported by INFOTAG, 79 deputies from both the ruling party and opposition voted for the amendments to the law on identity documents of the national passport system during the parliamentary session on Thursday.

The Congress of Local and Regional Authorities of the Council of Europe has welcomed the well-administered local elections in the Republic of Moldova held on 5 November 2023, according to the recommendation of the Congress, adopted at a session in Strasbourg following the report of the head of the observer mission led by Vladimir Prebilic (Slovenia, SOC/G/PD).

Moldova imported over 907.9 thousand tons of oil products in 2023, which is 46.5 thousand tons (5.46%) more than the previous year. According to the National Agency for Energy Regulation (ANRE), gasoline purchases increased from 169.5 thousand to 184.2 thousand tons (+8.69%), diesel fuel from 636.4 to 665.6 thousand tons (+4.58%), and liquefied gas from 55.4 to 58 thousand tons (+4.71%).

Florence Bauer, Regional Director for Eastern Europe and Central Asia of the Fund, Ambassador of Japan to Moldova Yamada Yoichiro, representatives of the British Embassy, Parliament, local public administration and partners participated in the opening ceremony.
