DEPUTIES TO BE DEPRIVED OF THEIR SALARIES
The Parliament's leadership decided to punish 44 deputies, who were absent at the parliamentary session on July 22, when the Prime Minister Iurie Leanca presented the adoption of government responsibility for 11 laws.
Among the punished deputies are: the Party of Communists faction (PCRM) - 34 deputies; the Liberal Democratic Party faction (PLDM) - Simeon Grischuk, Veaceslav Ionita, Lilian Zaporojan; the Democratic Party (PDM) - Gheorghe Brashovski, Stella Jantuan, Oleg Sirbu; the Liberal Reform Party faction (LRP) - Anna Gutu; independent deputies Iurie Bolboceanu, Igor Dodon, Zinaida Greceanii.
According to the Parliament regulations, absent deputies will be deprived of daily earnings. According to the document, the deputies who were absent without valid reason at three meetings during July, will be deprived of 50% of monthly salary, and those who were absent at four meetings and more will be deprived of 75% of monthly salary.
The deputies’ salary exceeds nine thousand lei. The Speaker receives 11.8 thousand lei, the Vice-speaker - 10,8 thousand lei, Chairman of the Commission and a member of the Parliament Permanent Bureau - 10.4 thousand lei, the Vice-Chairman of the Commission - 9,9 thousand lei, ordinary deputy - 9,6 thousand lei.
The Communists faction boycotted the parliamentary session, after the disagreements, appeared in connection with the discussion of the bill on amendments in the legislation concerning the law on Gagauzia autonomy.
