OHM LEADER GRIGORE PETRENCO URGES VLAD PLAHOTNIUC TO LEAVE MOLDOVA ALONE – FOREVER

28 may, 2015

“Our Home is Moldova” (OHM) party chairman Grigore Petrenco, who is running for mayor of Chisinau, has urged the First Deputy Chairman of the Democratic Party, Vlad Plahotniuc, to leave Moldova for good.

On Wednesday evening, about 50 OHM activists and supporters organized an action of protest near the Nobil Hotel in Chisinau and chanted “Plahotniuc, pack your things and go”, “Disgrace”, “Plahotniuc, your place is in prison” and the like.

Grigore Petrenco stated at the event, “A billion will be enough for Plahotniuc to buy out all mass media in Moldova [currently, he owns ‘only’ 5 main television channels], to hire provocateurs for upsetting peaceful actions of protest, to buy obedient judges who will be issuing prohibitions an hour before rallies, but he will not have money enough to buy and seize the whole country”.

Petrenco said this was the first, warning action of protest before the Plahotniuc-owned hotel against the lawlessness Plahotniuc practices in all spheres of life in Moldova. He is convinced Plahotniuc is afraid of protest actions and of the Moldovan people’s wrath

“Together with the people, the OHM party will continue its struggle for making the country free of such oligarchs and for an efficient system of justice – not like now, when you can receive a written prohibition of a meeting one hour before its start”, said the ex-parliamentarian.

After this, he demonstratively tore up the court decision he had received minutes before the protest beginning. He wanted to throw the paper into a litter bin before the hotel, but security guys shielded the bin with their bodies. Then Petrenco threw the torn paper into their faces.
