UNIONISTS KEEP WORKING FOR MOLDOVA’S UNIFICATION WITH ROMANIA

03 july, 2015

The National Unity Bloc (BUN, Blocul Unitatii Nationale), uniting adherents to the idea of Unire – Moldova’s unification with Romania, are organizing the nation’s 4th Great National Assembly in Chisinau on July 5, at which a start will be given to a “Stefan cel Mare March to Bucharest”. Both actions are aimed at unification of the two countries.

The action organizers used a very original method to mobilize citizens to come for the Assembly – by distributing the so-called “Stefan cel Mare letter” in the social networks.

The letter is written in Romanian and in the Latin alphabet, not in the Cyrillic alphabet that was in use here in the times of the outstanding Moldovan medieval Gospodar [King, who died in 1504], and contains an appeal to come and take part in the Great National Assembly in Chisinau’s central square next Sunday.

The organizers believe that now is the most suitable moment for demanding the unification and for mobilizing citizens for voting correctly in a possible would-be unification referendum. They are looking forward to seeing tens of thousand unification supporters in the Great National Assembly Square on July 5.
