COMMUNISTS STATE READINESS TO BACK INITIATIVE ON NO-CONFIDENCE IN GOVERNMENT

30 may, 2016

The Moldovan Communist Party (MCP) stands ready to support the Socialists’ initiative to vote no-confidence in the Filip Government.

MPs Elena Bodnarenco and Oleg Reidman, Members of the MCP Political Executive Committee, convened a press briefing in the Parliament Building on Friday and stated that the Socialists, who initiated a vote of no confidence in the Government, “are deliberately misleading the public by saying that the Communists are allegedly refusing to sign the Socialists’ draft Resolution on no-confidence in the Government”.

“As a matter of fact, we stated to our opposition partners from the very beginning that the MCP faction would back this document. The Communists have very serious claims to the most non-professional and incompetent Government over last 15 years”, stated Elena Bodnarenco.

Oleg Reidman said the Communists feel doubts concerning the sincerity of the actions being undertaken by the Socialists. Besides that, “The contents of a document on government dissolution should be not literary but political one”, he added.

“That’s why we are now working on the document. Our variant of the vote of no confidence resolution will be considered at the nearest meeting of the MCP Political Executive Committee. The thing is, such a document must give a concrete result from the first attempt. To ensure this, it must have a serious, powerful argumentation”, said Oleg Reidman.

Party of Socialists Chairman Igor Dodon stated in Parliament on Friday morning that the Socialists co not register their no-confidence initiative because they failed to ensure 2 signatures necessary for this due to the Communists’ and Liberal Democrats’ refusal to support the draft Resolution.
