PARLIAMENT TO CONSIDER CONFIDENCE IN GOVERNMENT QUESTION NEXT WEEK

28 september, 2016

The Moldovan Parliament will consider the Socialists-initiated draft Resolution on a vote of no confidence in the Government only next week, Party of Socialists leader Igor Dodon told the press.

According to him, the draft Resolution was registered with the Parliament Permanent Bureau on Tuesday. It bears the signatures of 24 Socialist MPs, 5 communists and 8 Liberal Democrats. Dodon presumes that the Permanent Bureau will take a decision on holding a special sitting of the Parliament next week namely not later than on Thursday, October 6.

“I hope very much that at considering the document, other deputies will support us, too. May be they will at last wake up by that time, and talk to citizens so as to hear that the people are standing categorically against repaying the billions stolen by the authorities and their surrounding”, said Igor Dodon.

Answering journalists’ questions, Dodon stated that the Socialists will be doing all in their power to prevent the entry into force of the said 7 laws, responsibility for which the Government has taken on itself, bypassing the Parliament.

“We shall use all legal means to prevent this. That’s precisely why we have signed the draft Resolution on a vote of no confidence in the Government. We do hope the Parliament will support it”, said the PSRM Chairman.
