PSRM EXPRESSES REGRET OVER INCIDENT NEAR USA EMBASSY

The Party of Socialists of the Republic of Moldova has expressed regret over the incident that happened near the American Embassy in Chisinau with the participation of a PSRM member, the party’s Executive Secretary MP Vlad Batrincea wrote in social networks on Monday.

On Sunday, a man was detained, who had left a suspicious bag not far from the entry to the U.S. Embassy. That happened to be an Andrei Colesnic, 37, who had a PSRM membership card about him. The detained offender stated that he “wanted to check the reaction of Embassy guards”.

“The incident near the USA Embassy, involving a man with a PSRM card, is causing very many questions, and most probably is a provocation. The personality of the man, the way how be became a PSRM member and the reasons of his deed will be thoroughly studied. We suspect this was a subversive act, a provocation staged to discredit the Party of Socialists”, stated Vlad Batrincea.

He voiced pity about the negative emotions suffered by the employees of the United States Embassy.
