27 march, 2017

Around 50 supporters of the “Demnitate si Adevar” [DA, “Dignity and Justice”] Party came to the Presidential residence on Friday, demanding Moldovan President Igor Dodon to sign a decree on initiating a referendum on canceling the law shoulders the repayment of billions, stolen from the banking system, on coutry citizens

DA Chairman Andrei Nastase said that the party came to tell the society about real problems that exist in Moldova, but not about those, enumerated in the agenda of the President and the ruling authorities.

According to him, this press conference was organized because during the election campaign, Igor Dodon was talking about the canceling of the Law on shouldering the repayment of billions on citizens, while after victory he forgot about his promises.

“The only thing he did is imitated a legislative initiative he also forgot, leaving it to a councilor with a doubtful activity in the Parliament”, the party chairman said.

Advisor to the President Ion Ceban came out to protesters, proposing them to talk and answer their questions.

“You ask to conduct referendum on May 28, but this is possible neither according to the law, nor technically. For this, at least five months are necessary. In fact, who was protracting the president inauguration? These were Sandu and Nastase. And over this period, the new prosecutor was appointed, who cannot be removed from the post”, Ceban said.

He proposed to Nastase to talk, but the latter said he has nothing to discuss with Ceban as he came to the President.
