​IGOR DODON MEETS EAES PRESIDENTS

On Thursday, Moldovan President Igor Dodon arrived in Bishkek (Kyrgyzstan) to attend a Summit of the heads of the member states of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAES, uniting Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Armenia and Kyrgyzstan) and held meetings with Chairman of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council Almazbek Atambayev – the President of Kyrgyzstan, with President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, and with President of Armenia Serge Sargsyan.

Political Adviser to the Head of State and Presidential Press Secretary Ion Ceban reported that the interlocutors discussed questions of bilateral cooperation and interaction within the EAES.

“Igor Dodon and his colleagues exchanged invitations to visit the countries concerned. They outlined plans of forthcoming cooperation. Details of the meetings will follow soon”, wrote the press secretary.

On Friday, Igor Dodon is attending the meeting of the EAES Presidents, who are to consider inter alia the Moldovan President’s application for the EAES observer status for Moldova.

On Thursday evening, Igor Dodon wrote on his Facebook page with a great delight about his meeting with the President of Kyrgyzstan and about the assistance, which that FSU Central Asiatic Republic has already received and is continuing to receive from the Eurasian Economic Union.

“I firmly believe in further consolidation of bilateral relations between our countries and of Moldova’s interaction with the Eurasian Economic Union as a whole”, wrote the Moldovan President.
