​OUR PARTY PUBLISHES BROCHURE ON POLITICAL REPRESSIONS IN MOLDOVA

A brochure headlined "Political Repressions and Political Prisoners in Moldova" was published by Partidul Nostru [Our Party] in Chisinau, intended primarily for international organizations and foreign embassies working in this republic.

The 60-page publication, made in English, Romanian and Russian, contains concise information about "the most outstanding politically motivated criminal litigations fabricated by the incumbent Moldovan authorities". The brochure opens with a quotation from the article published in The New York Times in August 2015 by Secretary General of the Council of Europe Thorbjorn Jagland, a former Prime Minister of Norway, who wrote that corruption in Moldova bears the character of an epidemic, and that the State is still in the hands of oligarchs.

In the opinion of the publication authors, the chief target of the oligarchic regime's political repressions is Our Party headed by Balti city mayor Renato Usatii, who has been hiding in Moscow from what he calls 'Plahotniuc justice' since August 2016.

The brochure, printed by the Europres Publishers, presents evidence of how criminal litigations were fabricated against Renato Usatii, other Our Party leaders and activists, materials on the prosecution of the Petrenco group, of the DA Platform, civil society activists, lawyers, journalists.
