NORWAY TO CONTINUE SUPPORTING MOLDOVA IN MODERNIZATION AND REFORMS

Norway will continue supporting Moldova’s efforts on modernizing and promoting priority reforms, said Norwegian Foreign Minister Borge Brende, receiving Moldovan Deputy Premier, Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Andrei Galbur in Oslo on Friday.

According to the Moldovan Ministry, the two officials exchanged opinions about Moldova-Norway relations, pointing on mutual interest to enhancement of cooperation in all fields. Also, the sides discussed the process of reforms in Moldova and the cooperation within international organizations.

Andrei Galbur, who is making a visit to Oslo on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations between two states, expressed gratitude to the Norwegian Government for assistance to Moldova in implementing projects on economic development, sustainable employment on labor market, ensuring the supremacy of law and justice reform.

Also, within the visit, the Moldovan Minister gave a lecture in the Norway Institute of International Relations on Moldova’s external policy, naming the overcoming of internal split among the population and the Transnistrian conflict settlement as the long-term goals of strategic importance for the republic.
