Presidents of Moldova and Azerbaijan Igor Dodon and Ilham Aliyev discussed the opportunity of conducting a sitting of the Moldova-Azerbaijan Inter-Governmental Commission for Trade and Economic Cooperation in autumn. The Moldovan President wrote about this on his page in Facebook.

"this year, it has been 25 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations between Moldova and Azerbaijan. This date is a bright confirmation of the solidity of relations between our countries and people. I confirmed interest in further development of bilateral political dialog at all the levels", Dodon said.

According to him, Moldova-Azerbaijan relations have a great potential, however their dynamics is not the best.

"Our relations should be developed, especially in the field of economy. We discussed a number of joint social projects with the support of Azerbaijan side we hope to implement in the nearest future, as well as the possibility of launching a direct flight Chisinau-Baku. Besides, we agreed on the necessity of a closer cooperation in education, culture and humanitarian fields, as well as in interregional cooperation", the President wrote.

He also wrote that he invited President Ilham Aliyev to visit Moldova next year.

"I am sure we have much to learn from one another. Relations between Moldova and Azerbaijan will continue to intensively develop", Dodon wrote.
