MOLDOVAN CITIZENS MORE SELDOM ADDRESS TO PARLIAMENT FOR RESOLVING THEIR PROBLEMS

Physical and legal persons directed 1904 petitions and oral addresses to the Moldovan parliament in the first half-year, which is by 331 less than over the equivalent period of last year.

According to the Parliament, out of the total number of addresses, 1613 were submitted in the form of petitions, while 291 – in the form of oral addresses Citizens and institutions pointed the legislature’s attention at over 2 thousand problems in different fields.

Addresses concern topics, connected with ensuring the legislation observing in the legal field, in social protection and healthcare. In 117 cases, the interpretation of the law concerning its application was demanded. Also, 157 proposals on legislation improvement were considered. Applicants insisted on the necessity to introduce amendments to legislative acts concerning population’s social protection, especially people with disabilities.

Other addresses are connected with the activity of central and local public administration bodies, households, as well as with labor relations and education. According to the presented statistics, over one half of addresses came from Chisinau citizens.
