PARLIAMENT CHAIRMAN RECEIVED US$646 THOUSAND DIVIDENDS IN 2016

Speaker of the Parliament, Deputy Chairman of the Democratic Party Andrian Candu received 11.58 million lei as dividends from the authorized capital in the company “Prime Management” in 2016.

Such data are presented in his 2016 statement on income and property, published on the National Integrity Agency’s website.

In the same year, he got from Vlad Plahotniuc [DP leader, one of company founders] an apartment in the city downtown with an area of 243.6 square meters for free use.

The Parliament Speaker also has an apartment of 85.7 square meters with estimative cost of 551.5 thousand lei, a garage, a car Lexus RX450 worth 561 thousand lei, registered in the Czech Republic, Zenit, Corum and Mont Blanc watches, as well as ten bank accounts. Only in Victoriabank he keeps 88 thousand euros.

Candu earned almost 140 thousand lei as salary and 16.3 thousand lei as allowances.

Deputy Speaker Iurie Leanca declared an income of 149 thousand lei for work in the legislature, as well as allowances worth 66.5 thousand lei. Besides, he got a reward worth 8.2 thousand euros from the Berlin Institute of European Politics.

Leanca has a house with an area of 223 square meters, estimated at 696 thousand lei. In 2016, he bought in leasing a Skoda Superb and a Mercedes S350. Also, the leader of the European People's Party of Moldova (EPPM) has two deposit accounts worth 63 thousand lei and 24 thousand euros. In total, he has eight bank accounts in Mobiasbanca.

Another Deputy Speaker Vladimir Vitiuc earned 166 thousand lei in the parliament and got almost 14 thousand lei as allowance. He has a garage with an area of 24 square meters worth 33 thousand lei, as well as cars Mercedes 370D and Mercedes GLK 280. Also, he owns three bank accounts in Eximbank, Moldova Agroindbank and Moldindconbank.
