SOCIALISTS REGARD SUPPORTERS OF MOLDOVA-ROMANIA UNIFICATION AS TRAITORS

Chairman of the PSRM faction in the Chisinau Municipal Council (CMC), presidential press secretary Ion Ceban criticized statements, made by Romanian MP of Moldovan origin Constantin Codreanu, who called to conclude the preparations for Moldova-Romania unification by 2018.

Ceban wrote in social networks that the Moldovan state independence and sovereignty will be preserved.

“By President’s order, the 2018 was called the year of Steven the Great, who had fought for the Moldovan statehood all his life”, he reminded.

Talking about unionist claims of the Romanian MP, Ceban said that Codreanu is not the first and not the last traitor, who wants to transform Moldova into a region of Romania.

“His unionist dreams will be scattered when he grows older and realizes the reality, if, of course he can ever do this. Or this will happen when he will not be financed from the Romanian budget anymore”, he said.

As Infotag has already reported, Codreanu said at the conference in the Romanian locality Izvorul Muresului that the project of reunification is the most important for Romania since it joined the EU and NATO.

According to him, “Romania should declare the re-unification as its state project, using in this process the German experience of unification of the German Democratic Republic and the Federal Republic of Germany, and to be based on the Helsinki security agreement, which implies that borders of countries may be changed in accordance with the international law, by peaceful means and upon agreement”.
