MOLDOVA PRESIDENT, FRENCH AMBASSADOR HOLD FAREWELL MEETING

The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the French Republic to the Republic of Moldova, Pascal Vagogne, will be decorated with Moldova's Ordinul de Onoare [Order of Honor]. Moldovan President Igor Dodon wrote on his Facebook page today that a presidential decree to this effect will be issued in the nearest future.

"I've held a farewell meeting with Mr. Vagogne and highly appreciated the fruitful cooperation developing between Moldova and France lately. I stressed that this year we are marking the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Republic of Moldova and the French Republic. I thanked the French side for its assistance to Moldova in various spheres", wrote the head of state.

President Dodon spoke out for deepening the bilateral trade and economic cooperation, for invigoration of diplomatic dialog between the two countries, for more dynamic high-level contacts that could expand the present-day cooperation and promote a bilateral trade exchange.
