DPM DELEGATION LED BY VLAD PLAHOTNIUC FLEW TO USA

The Democratic Party delegation, led by Party Chairman Vlad Plahotniuc, has accomplished their visit to Brussels and flew from there over to the United States, the DP press service reported on Tuesday.

In Washington DC, the Moldovan Democrats will hold meetings with officials from American institutions of power as well as with the leaderships of some non-governmental organizations.

“It is expected that the main topics of discussions will be Moldova’s evolution and the strategy of the Moldovan governing coalition for the upcoming period as well as Moldova’s relationship with the United States in the context of the 25th anniversary since the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries”, said the press release.

The DP press unit has not written anything about the composition of the delegation to the USA. In Brussels, Vlad Plahotniuc was together with Moldova’s Deputy Premier, Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Andrei Galbur and with Minister of Justice Vladimir Cebotari.

Plahotniuc visited the United States in April 2017. The DP press service did not advertize that visit and gave a short report reluctantly only after the voyage had come into the knowledge of the local press.

Last July, Vlad Plahotniuc paid a working visit to New York, where he participated in, and address to, the meeting of the Council of the Socialist International, whose Deputy Chairman he is as the DP leader.
