DEMOCRATIC PARTY SHARES ITS HISTORIC PLANS WITH THE NATION

22 octomber, 2018

The ruling Democratic Party of Moldova is intending to convert its concept "Pro-Moldova" into a state doctrine of country development, the DP leader and 'executive coordinator' of the ruling coalition in Moldova, Vlad Plahotniuc, stated from the tribune of the "National Assembly of the Democratic Party" held in the Great National Assembly Square in Chisinau last Sunday.

"Until now, the Moldovan society used to speak of 3 possible ways of the country development - European integration, Eurasian integration and unification with Romania. Over years, each of the ways had a certain support by citizens. And each time, Moldovans used to be enticed into a belief that somebody will come from abroad and will solve their problems. Moldova has waited too long for somebody to come and build its future", said Vlad Plahotniuc.

In his opinion, "Moldovans want to build their future by themselves".

"For this, they need politicians who would work more for the country, would ensure stability and confidence in the future. There is yet a fourth path, which nobody is brave enough to march. This path is called "Pro-Moldova"", stated the Moldovan Democratic Party leader.

Plahotniuc explained that this path means to be close to the people, to be solving their problems, to raise citizens' confidence in their own forces, to save traditions and history.

"The Concept "Pro-Moldova" will now on become a national state doctrine, which we have all missed ever since the independence declaration moment. The realization of this task is very hard, but not impossible. For this, we have a character, talents and a firm will!" stated Vlad Plahotniuc.

He also stated the need "to restore the national pride".

"We cannot resign ourselves to remaining an object of geopolitics, when all and sundry show us what we must do, where to go and what to dream about - like it used to be last few decades. But Moldova has the right to have its own opinion and to build its own destiny so that to build its own sovereignty according to our own discretion", stated the DP leader.
