ACUM READY TO ACCEPT SOCIALISTS’ INVITATION IF THEY ALSO WANT TO PUT AN END TO THE MAFIOSO REGIME, BLOC SAYS

11 april, 2019

“In the context of the invitation, which the parliamentary PSRM faction has sent to us today, the ACUM bloc is reaffirming its commitment to liberating the [Moldovan] State from the captivity of the oligarchic regime”, the bloc wrote in its press release posted in the social networks.

Its authors wrote that ACUM is still open to discussing the package of its legislative initiatives on sparing the State of the oligarchic regime (including by cancelling the mixed election system), “for which it is not necessary to form a governing coalition with the Party of Socialists”.

“Such discussions with the parliamentary Socialist faction can well be held on a transparent parliamentary platform, in case the PSRM really has a firm desire to liquidate the current Mafioso regime in Moldova”, said the document.

However, the ACUM bloc has not provided a clear answer to the Party of Socialists’ invitation to hold on April 11 a meeting to discuss the question of the forming a governing coalition, a parliamentary majority and of appointing a Government.

MP Alexandru Slusari, a DA Platform Deputy Chairman, stated today that ACUM deputies are strongly interested to start the consideration of the package of ACUM bills aimed at liberating the country of “this Mafioso regime”.

Alexandru Slusari said in a conversation with an Infotag correspondent: “If the PSRM, with all the fundamental doctrinal differences between us, is ready to publicly state that the current oligarchic system of country governance needs to be dismantled without a delay and that the Party is ready to discuss our package of anti-oligarchic bills, then such discussion is worthwhile. Moreover, we stand ready to consider also the Socialists’ bills in this sphere, or their proposals on improving our bills. We are also ready to discuss the creation of all Parliament working bodies necessary for the adoption of all the bills and parliamentary resolutions on country de-oligarchization”.
