SOCIALISTS CANNOT SEE ANY POINT IN CREATING DE-OLIGARCHIZATION WORKING GROUP OR CONTINUING STERILE DISCUSSIONS WITH ACUM - VLAD BATRINCEA

17 april, 2019

The Party of Socialists (PSRM) cannot see any use in founding, jointly with the ACUM bloc, a working group in parliament for promoting the ACUM-proposed Moldova de-oligarchization bills because the proposal does not coincide with the decision taken by the PSRM All-Republican Council on April 12, MP Vlad Batrincea, the PSRM Executive Secretary, wrote in the social networks on Tuesday.

He stressed that the Council decision determines the conditions under which the Socialists are ready to form a parliamentary majority coalition and to vote for appointing a new Government and approving its work program.

"To our regret, ACUM representatives are continuing to demonstrate political egoism (by insisting on their receiving the posts of parliament speaker and prime minister and on their own agenda, disregarding the PSRM proposals) and irresponsibility by trying to avoid forming a functional governing coalition with the PSRM that would permit to get rid of the incumbent authorities and exclude the risk of an early parliamentary election", wrote Vlad Batrincea. He called on the parliamentary ACUM colleagues to demonstrate responsibility to the country and citizens and to embark on forming a majority, a stable coalition, on appointing an efficient government with a sound work program to be agreed on by both Sides, bearing in mind that this new Parliament may be dissolved within about 2 months.
