SLUSARI IS SHOCKED BY PGO’S ANSWER CONCERNING BANK FRAUD INVESTIGATION PROGRESS

09 august, 2019

Deputy Speaker Alexandru Slusari, who heads the parliamentary ad hoc commission on the investigation of the one-billion-dollar bank fraud, was shocked to learn the official answer of the Prosecutor General's Office about the investigation progress.

Slusari wrote on his Facebook page that he was particularly astonished to learn that the main obstacle to the criminal investigation appears to be “the absence of a financial-economic expert examination concerning the precise sum of unreliable credits issued since 2009”.

“It’s just incredible! This expert examination was started on June10, 2015 thus continuing for more than 4 years by now! How come they haven’t started scientific researches of all credits since Moldova’s independence? Then the job would be completed by the children of the current experts”, wrote Alexandru Slusari ironically.

The Deputy Speaker reminded that the Cahul Appeals Court, which examined the Ilan Shor lawsuit, had long dragged out the process under the pretext of the absence of experts’ data.

“It was a very important element of sabotaging the bank fraud investigation. For 4 years the thieves have been annihilating the traces of their theft, spending for their luxury living and entertainments the billions stolen from us”, the deputy wrote without losing confidence that “a requital is close – like never before!”
