REPORT ON BANK FRAUD INVESTIGATION WILL BE PRESENTED TO PARLIAMENT SHORTLY

15 octomber, 2019

The report of the parliamentary ad-hoc commission on investigating the one-billion-dollar bank fraud has been concluded and will be presented to the Parliament, reported commission Chairman Alexander Slusari in social networks.

He said that during the work he received many recommendations not to be very severe - not to make categorical opinions and not to try on the role of prosecutors.

"However, I have a different approach. I never thought that I will remain in politics for long time. I am used to calling a spade a spade when I have strong evidences. Commission cannot replace the justice system, but no one can prohibit us to express our opinion after investigating the bank fraud, organized with active participation of the political class", the Deputy Speaker said.

According to the MP, he does not need additional explanations on Dragutanu [ex-president of National Bank of Moldova], Candu [ex-minister of economy] or Leanca {ex-premier}, who due to their high posts made a tangible contribution to robbing the country, not speaking about such personages as Plahotniuc, Shor, Filat, Platon.

"I am glad that in the commission we came to a consensus, while in the Parliament we have a majority, which adheres to a single opinion on this issue", Slusari concluded.

As Infotag has already reported, Slusari addressed to the Prosecutor General's Office (PGO) on criminal case against Leanca, Candu and some other senior officials. On September 20, Slusari read out in the Parliament the names of ultimate beneficiaries from billion fraud, mentioned in the second Kroll report. Among them there are: ex-leader of the Democratic Party Vlad Plahotniuc, MP Ilan Shor, ex-Premier Vlad Filat, MPs Marina Tauber, Regina Apostolova, as well as other well-known persons.
