​PSRM CHAIRWOMAN CALLS ON ACUM TO DISCUSS POSSIBLE COALITION IN RAIONS

Speaker of the Parliament, Chairwoman of the Party of Socialists Zinaida Greceanii invited the ACUM bloc to negotiations on creation of coalitions at regional level.

At the Monday’s press conference she said that according to the October 20 voting results, in 18 raions (of over 30) the PSRM achieved results that allow the party to influence the election of raion chairpersons.

“PSRM achieved absolute majority in four raions, in 11 raions more the PSRM is on the first place. Thus, we are officially inviting our ACUM colleagues to discuss the formation of coalitions in these 11 raions”, she said.

According to her, the PSRM won gubernatorial elections in the first round in 124 localities (including 12 towns), while in 179 localities more (18 towns) Socialists entered the second round.

PSRM executive secretary Vlad Batrincea told about the election process monitoring, saying that various violations were registered, especially in the Orhei raion and some northern raions, including in the field of bribing voters and using of administrative resource. However, Socialists recognized that in general elections took place without violations that may have influenced the results.

“Anyway, these elections were conducted in much better conditions than before and provided comfortable conditions for all the candidates”, the Socialist said.
