PARTIDUL NOSTRU CHAIRMAN READY TO PROTEST AGAINST ION CHICU GOVERNMENT

Partidul Nostru [Our Party] leader Renato Usatii is ready to come in front of the Parliament building to protest against the formation of a new Government headed by Ion Chicu, who was proposed by President Igor Dodon as candidate for Premier.

Usatii said on local television on Wednesday evening that he intends to come to protest together with mayors and residents of eight more localities of the republic, where OP won in local elections.

“If this new “marriage” takes place in the Moldovan political arena, I assure you that in short time the country will return to the problems from the times of Vlad Plahotniuc”, said the OP Chairman, expressing surprise about the silence of other oppositional politicians.

He called on citizens to be ready to come to protests, though without party symbols or colors.

As for the situation in the Democratic Party [which before was headed by the runaway oligarch Plahotniuc], Usatii said that it is on the verge of collapse.

“There are two groups in it. One is headed by Eugen Nichiforciuc, who is still communicating with Plahotniuc. There is also Pavel Filip, who broke all the contacts with the oligarch immediately after Plahotniuc ran away”, Usatii stated.

According to him, Dodon put as a condition that the most odious part of Democrats must leave the Parliament.

“It is about the group made of Botnari, Nichiforciuc, Cebotari. Today, they must go away and this is done for preserving the DPM in power. In the new Government Democrats will not have ministers, but they will have heads on other levels – state secretaries, for example”, Usatii said.
