​EX-AMBASSADOR TO EU APPOINTED AS PRESIDENTIAL FOREIGN POLITICAL ADVISER

Moldova's former Ambassador to the European Union Eugen Caras has been appointed as Presidential Advisor on Foreign Political Issues. Igor Dodon signed a corresponding Presidential Decree on Tuesday.

The head of state thanked the diplomat for his agreement to work in the Presidential Administration. He highly assessed Eugen Caras' diplomatic experience and professional potential. The President expressed confidence that this experience will facilitate the development of Moldova's relations with strategic partners and the conductance of a weighted external policy.

As was already reported by Infotag, the new Government of Moldova, appointed last November 14, has included 6 former Presidential Advisers, including Aurel Ciocoi, the previous Advisor on Foreign Political Issues, who is Moldova's Foreign Minister now.

And the former State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, Daniela Morari, has been appointed as the Republic of Moldova's Ambassador to the European Union.

Career diplomat Eugen Caras had headed Moldova's Permanent Representation at the European Union for nearly 8 years - since January 2012.
