PMG COUNTS ON REACHING AGREEMENT WITH RIGHT OPPOSITION FOR FORMING NEW GOVERNMENT

04 june, 2020

The parliamentary Pro Moldova group has entered into dialog with the right opposition - the Party of Action and Solidarity and the DA Platform - to reach an agreement concerning the formation of a new government, PMG leader Andrian Candu wrote in social networks on Wednesday.

Candu wrote that he has just returned from Czechia "full of energy and ready to struggle against the incumbent authorities, in particular against President Dodon".

"We are trying to find common ground so as to understand what will actually happen in case of the Chicu Government's dismissal. I guess there is no need to add yet a political crisis to the already serious economic and epidemiological crises", wrote Andrian Candu.

He made it clear that the Pro Moldova group will be extremely flexible at deciding who will head the new government and who will be included into it.

"But the most essential thing is what the new government will be doing. And here, we need to have an anti-crisis plan. So, very much has to be done before the presidential election [scheduled for November 1]", wrote Andrian Candu.
