PMP INITIATES RAISING OF SIGNATURES FOR DISMISSING PRESIDENT DODON

07 july, 2020

With shorter than 4 months to go to the parliamentary election scheduled for November 1, the Pro Moldova Party has decided to start raising of citizens' signatures for removing President Igor Dodon from his post.

Speaking at a news conference on Monday, PMP leader Andrian Candu announced that the party is giving a start to the signature raising campaign.

"The institution of the President must be a symbol of statehood, law and stability. A president must meticulously observe laws. But President Dodon does not respect laws or citizens of the country. He is politically affiliated, and he is splitting up the Moldovan political class and the Moldovan society", stated Andrian Candu. He accused Dodon of lies and corruption, of promoting shadowy interests, of bad management in a pandemic period, of international isolation and denouncing of the Euro-integration course.

"The President is a traitor, coward and liar! That's enough! Dodon must go!" exclaimed Andrian Candu.

Pro Moldova is launching a campaign for discharging Igor Dodon under the name of "Dodon! Pleaca! [Dodon! Go Away!]. For this, a special website has already been created - pleaca.com, where a petition can be signed for resignation of the President. PMP activists are beginning to raise signatures all over the republic.
