MoE SUGGESTS OPENING MOLDOVA'S 5 NEW ECONOMIC AND TRADE OFFICES ABROAD

13 july, 2020

The Ministry of Economy and Infrastructure believes it is necessary to increase the number of Moldovan economic and trade offices abroad, in particular to open new offices in Great Britain, the United States, France, Japan and China.

This question was discussed at the today's meeting of a joint working group on economic diplomacy, which includes, besides MoE, also the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration and the National Agency for Investments.

The parties agreed to organize, on July 29-31, training courses on economic diplomacy for the representatives of Moldovan embassies and consular offices in foreign countries. The training will focus on discussing the mechanisms of attracting investments and promoting exports in strategic economic spheres, possibilities of overcoming the current economic crisis, promotion of tourism etc.

Also, in the framework of this online event, the MoE will organize sessions of Moldovan Economic Attaches with the representatives of Moldovan companies, in particular those working in the fields of agriculture and winemaking.
