PRESIDENT OF RM AND SPECIAL REPRESENTATIVE OF PRESIDENT OF RF DISCUSS ISSUES OF TRADE DEVELOPMENT AND ECONOMIC RELATIONS

President of Moldova Igor Dodon and Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration of Russia, Special Representative of the President of the Russian Federation for the Development of Trade and Economic Relations with Moldova Dmitry Kozak discussed the development of trade and economic relations between the two countries, the President announced this on his Facebook page.

Dodon, practically, repeated his message about the meeting with Kozak on June 25 during his previous visit to Moscow. He said that they discussed issues of granting a Russian loan in the amount of 200 million euros; the dynamics of the export of Moldovan goods to the Russian market after the Russian government extended the period of duty-free import of a number of leading agro-industrial goods. The issue of permits for the transit of Moldovan goods to Russia through the territory of Ukraine ("permits") was also raised; as well as the possibility of providing gratuitous humanitarian aid in the form of diesel fuel to support Moldovan agricultural producers from the Russian side.

The President of the Republic of Moldova additionally announced that this year in October in Chisinau a regular meeting of the Moldovan-Russian intergovernmental commission on trade and economic cooperation will take place, "where it is planned to sign a number of important bilateral agreements".

Unlike in the previous report in June, this time nothing was said about the discussion of the settlement of the Transnistrian conflict. At the same time, a number of media outlets claim that the leader of Transnistria, Vadim Krasnoselsky, is also on a working visit to Moscow.
