RENATO USATII AGAIN DENIES RUMORS ABOUT HIS ANNOUNCEMENT FOR WANTED IN INTERPOL

13 august, 2020

The chairman of Our Party (NP), Mayor of Balti Renato Usatii denied information that appeared in the media, according to which the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia sent a request to Interpol to declare him on the international wanted list.

He said that he is on vacation at his own expense and travels around the country.

“Yesterday I was in Cantemir. That’s the kind of meetings with people, the direct communication that give me the closest information. It seems to me that early parliamentary elections are urgently needed in Moldova. Some of its current members will go to retire, and some will go to the country's penitentiaries. And I am ready to go into power if the people of Balti and other residents of the country will trust me,” Usatii stressed.

Speaking about the elections in Belarus, he said that “Lukashenko crossed certain “red lines”.

“When the security forces in Belarus beat people in the streets after the presidential elections, it cannot be respected,” said the chairman of Our Party (NP), mayor of Balti Renato Usatii.

He did not rule out that Belarus could “find itself in isolation if events go this way”.

“You always need to communicate with the protesters. What is happening in Belarus is terrible, when monsters of police beat people and journalists. Alexander Grigorievich [Lukashenko], if you were supported by 80% of citizens, then why can't I see them on the streets of Minsk and other cities of the country? The special services of Belarus (which are considered strong) must identify the provocateurs, if any. If there is an account for provocateurs - show it. If not, then people can take down the power,” Usatii said.

At the same time, in his opinion, Moldova needs a politician similar to Lukashenko.

“I grew fond of Lukashenko as a good economic planner many years ago. He could kick in the neck any corrupt official. In this country we saw the best roads; there were no abandoned farms and poultry farms in Belarus. And today it is the most developed of the post-Soviet countries,” Usatii said.

He noted that every politician has a moment when he “must leave”.

“You can't leave because of the provocateurs. After all that is happening in Belarus, I have a disgusting state of mind. I think - either it is necessary to go to the re-election according to democratic rules, or - to leave. But I am sure that you [Lukashenko] will remain in the history of the country. If neither re-election nor to leave, then this situation will not have a good end,” the politician predicted, wishing wisdom to the leadership of Belarus.
