28 september, 2020

Renato Usatii, the Chairman of the Moldovan opposition Partidul Nostru [Our Party] and its presidential candidate, has left “in the direction of Turkey”, as he formulated obscurely in the Facebook, “where fugitive oligarch Vladimir Plahotniuc has been staying for more than 2 weeks by now, namely in Istanbul since September 10”.

According to Usatii, Plahotniuc [who fled from Moldova in June 2019 on the same day when state power in the republic slid away from his hands] “is holding meetings daily with Moldovan politicians and mediators from President Igor Dodon in order to continue influencing on political processes developing in our country. Plahotniuc has already undertaken several attempts to penetrate into the European Union territory because he cannot go back to the United States any more. So, together with my friends I have left Moldova and taken course for Turkey to help Plahotniuc find road to the Moldovan Prosecutor General's Office”.
