CHINA PRESIDENT XI JINPING CONGRATULATES MAIA SANDU

President of the People’s Republic of China Xi Jinping has congratulated Maia Sandu on her victory in the Moldovan presidential election. The congratulatory message was handed in to the President Elect by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China to the Republic of Moldova, Mr. Zhang Yinghong, on Monday.

In the course of conversation with the Ambassador, Maia Sandu expressed gratitude for the congratulation, and stated her intention to further develop and invigorate Moldova’s bilateral relations with the People’s Republic of China.

Maia Sandu said: “We will be cooperating in strengthening our economic relations, particularly in the context of support for Moldovan producers. The Chinese market has a considerable potential for Moldovan exports, particularly the exports of agricultural products”.
