POLAND LEADER INVITES MOLDOVA PRESIDENT-ELECT FOR OFFICIAL VISIT

President of Poland Andrzej Duda invited Moldovan President-Elect Maia Sandu to pay an official visit to Poland. The invitation was conveyed during the telephone talk the two officials held on Thursday.

The Embassy of Poland in Chisinau reported that during the conversation, the interlocutors touched on the questions of consolidation of bilateral relations on the presidential level and in a wider European context. Andrzej Duda emphasized that Poland will be further backing Moldova’s pro-Western course, “supported by a majority of the Moldovan population”.

President Duda paid attention to the presence of a Polish national minority in Moldova and to how its requirements are met, the Embassy said in its press release.
