MOLDOVAN PARLIAMENT DEVOTED 182 HOURS TO PLENARY WORK LAST YEAR – MORE THAN IN 2019

Last year, the Parliament of Moldova held 33 plenary meetings, though 3 of them were actually not valid due to the lack of a quorum. So, the plenary meetings lasted a total of 182 hours, reported the forum’s Secretariat.

At them, the deputies approved 259 legal acts namely 210 laws (organic and ordinary ones) and 49 parliamentary resolutions.

During the 2020 Spring-Summer Session, held from February 3 to July 20, the parliamentarians attended 21 plenary meetings, and during the Autumn-Winter Session (September 1 to December 16) – 11 meetings. In addition, the Parliament assembled for an extraordinary meeting on December 23 on the occasion of the inauguration of Moldova’s new President Maia Sandu.

In 2019, the Moldovan Parliament held 31 plenary sittings that lasted a total of 122 hours.
